Preparing You For Your Appointment

What technology do I need?

A phone, tablet, or computer with a webcam, microphone and a secure internet connection. 

How long is the appointment?

You will have a 30-minute appointment to complete your form with a member of our clinical team.

How do I join the appointment?

You will receive a confirmation email and text message upon booking, as well as a reminder 30 minutes before your appointment. This message will include a  secure link button labeled “Start Session”. Click this button to begin your appointment. Next, you will need to click “Approve” to allow access to your microphone and camera. Then click “Next” to enter your virtual appointment.

When should I join my appointment?

It is best to log in to your appointment 5 minutes before it begins so you can complete our “Appointment Checklist” before seeing your clinician.

What should I have ready for my session?

Ensure you have completed our pre-appointment booking form. During your appointment, please have the following information ready: prescription medications; dates of past or upcoming medical appointments; names of healthcare providers you have seen or been referred to; and any other information relevant to the reason this form is needed.

Where should I be located in order to join the appointment?

Please join the appointment from a quiet, private location where you can speak openly. For safety and privacy reasons, do not join while driving, from a public location, or with other people present unless you require assistance. If this is not possible, we may need to reschedule your visit.

What happens if technology fails?

If you have not connected with the clinician within the first 2 minutes of the appointment, the clinician will call you using the phone number provided during the booking process, and the appointment can be completed by phone. If the clinician is unable to reach you within the first 5 minutes of the appointment, the appointment will be rescheduled for a later date.

Is this virtual session secure?

Yes, your information is kept confidential and secure by Phzio Canada, which follows PIPEDA compliance.

How long will it take for me to receive my form?

You will receive your form within 24 business hours from the time your appointment is completed.  

What do I do once I receive my form?

Before receiving your form, you will receive an email that will request you to “Review Your Form.” Once you have completed this process, our clinician will sign off on the form, and you will receive a PDF copy by email.
